Congratulations to Tyler Clay, Claryssa Johnson, Alexis Crace, and Molly Van Atta for being selected to place our Riverdale Middle School wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery when we go to Washington D.C. in May. Interested students wrote essays for this and were asked to include in their essays what placing the wreath would mean to them, why it was important to them, as well as why they felt they should be chosen to be awarded such an honorable privilege. The essays were terrific and it was incredibly difficult to pick the top 4, but in the end, these 4 students' essays were chosen. Congratulations again to Tyler, Claryssa, Alexis, and Molly!!!

Today at Nike Indoor Nationals, the weight throw featured what many are calling the most competitive showdown in the event’s history! Brody stepped up on the big stage and threw 73’10.5”, finishing 9th out of the best 64 throwers in the nation! With that performance, he earned 2nd Team All-American honors and finished as the #2 junior in the country at Nationals! Way to go, Brody! We are incredibly proud of you and the work you’ve put in to have such an INCREDIBLE junior season! 👏💪

What a season for Kydin Reed. Unfortunately his tournament run ended this morning after an injury during his match. We are incredibly proud of the hard work, toughness, and determination he showed all season long. Kydin represented Riverdale with heart, and the future is bright. With one more year to go, we know this won’t be the last time we see him at the State Wrestling Tournament. Great season, Kydin! Falcon Nation is proud of you. 💙

Riverdale High School Presents: "Once Upon a Mattress"

March 27-29, 2026

👑 Once Upon a Mattress is not your typical fairy tale!

In this hilarious twist on The Princess and the Pea, a kingdom is stuck in royal chaos because no one can marry until Prince Dauntless finds a “true” princess—according to his very picky mother, Queen Aggravain. After countless princesses fail her ridiculous tests, one bold and unconventional visitor arrives and turns the castle completely upside down.

With outrageous characters, catchy songs, and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, Once Upon a Mattress proves that sometimes the most unexpected hero can change the whole kingdom. Don’t miss this royally fun musical! 🎭✨

Tickets available at the link below or purchase at the door.

🏀 Another great day in Falcon Nation! The staff came out on top in the annual Staff vs. Students basketball game! It was a fun night for everyone involved and a great way to bring our school community together. At halftime, we recognized three outstanding Falcon track athletes for their accomplishments at the Indoor State Track Meet: 🥇 Brody Berger – State Champion in the Weight Throw 🥈 Marissa Bonham – 2nd place in the Long Jump (16’11”) and 3rd place in the 400m Dash (58.73) 🏅 Kolten Evans – 7th place in the 800m Run with a time of 2:01 We are extremely proud of how these athletes represented Riverdale! We also had the chance to watch and cheer on Grady Phelps and Kydin Reed as they competed at the State Wrestling Tournament in Columbus. Falcon Nation is proud of both of them for representing Riverdale on the state stage! It was a great night celebrating our students and showing our Falcon pride! 🦅💙 #FalconNation #RiverdalePride

Students in Mrs. Dapper's Advanced Reading and Math students spent the last two days celebrating Pi Day (March 14th). They read math adventure stories and discovered the reason Pi is associated with circles! In the advanced math classes, we also had a contest to see who could say the most digits of Pi by memory. 4th grader, Kamden Bailey recited the most digits overall, with 71, Alaina Tracy (6th) recited 27, and Sam Kin (3rd) recited 43 digits of Pi!

Congrats to all of the winners and to all that participated!

We hope everyone has a great Pi Day on Saturday!
