🏆 Congratulations to our special award winners!
📣 Spirit Award: Cardington Pirates

And a very special congratulations to our Riverdale Cheer alum, Kasey Luikart, on being awarded the Mindi Justice Cheer Scholarship! 🎓📣 Kasey will be a freshman at the University of Toledo this fall, and we couldn’t be more proud of her! 🚀

The event was about so much more than competition. It was about friendships, memories, sportsmanship, and continuing the legacy of Mindi Justice, sister of first grade teacher and varsity cheer coach Amy Phelps. CAPTAIN SERIES: LEADERS ON AND OFF THE FIELD

We’re excited to kick off our Riverdale High School Captain Series, recognizing the student athletes who have been chosen by their teammates to lead their teams.

We begin with our Girls Soccer Captains:

⚽ Marissa Bonham — Senior
⚽ Allison Clark — Senior
⚽ Ainslee Deringer — Senior
⚽ Ryleigh Howard — Junior
⚽ Taryn Headington — Junior

Being selected as a captain is about more than wearing a captain’s band or having a title. It’s about earning the trust of your teammates, setting the standard, leading by example, and making the people around you better.

As Vince Lombardi said:

“The strength of the group is the strength of the leaders.”

Congratulations to these five Falcons on being selected by their teammates to lead. We’re excited to see the impact they make on and off the field!

💙🦅 Lead by example. Represent your team. Build others up.
