Last week, Riverdale seniors Cameron Bridenstine, Drake Dull, and Czedric Ropp attended the Raise the Bar Career Expo in supply chain and transportation. Thank you to Garner Trucking, Findlay City Schools Transportation Department, and ODOT for teaching our students about opportunities in your field!

🚨📚 Can You Escape the Evil Grammarian? 📚🚨
Students in Mrs. Bohnam’s 6th Grade ELA class put their grammar skills to the test with the engaging “Escape the Evil Grammarian” lesson! 🔐✏️
Students used what they have learned about parts of speech to solve challenges and strengthen skills that will be important throughout the year. Understanding how words function in a sentence lays the foundation for upcoming work with punctuation, capitalization, and spelling.
These skills also help students become stronger readers as they begin analyzing how authors use vivid verbs, precise adjectives, and varied sentence structures to make their writing more effective.

On Friday October 2nd at 9am Riverdale 8th graders will be going to Owen's Community College for Career Day. During Career Connections Day students will connect with Hancock County's workforce. 8th-grade students will have the opportunity to explore diverse career paths and be inspired by local industry leaders. Students will strengthen partnerships with local businesses while expanding horizons by helping them understand real-world applications of their education. Students first took interest and aptitude tests and will match the results to different careers in the area.

The High School Quiz Bowl team began their Hancock-Hardin-Logan (HHL) League competition Monday night with both Varsity and JV teams going 2-0! Great job Falcons!!!!
The team next competes at the Tiffin Columbian Exposition tournament this Saturday.

Riverdale boys soccer picked up a 2-0 win over Van Buren tonight, completing the Falcon sweep over the Black Knights in back-to-back days. Cameron Snook found the back of the net twice, with Clemens Lukesch adding an assist, while Reydon Bishop recorded 8 saves to secure the shutout.
Two days. Two wins. Go Falcons!

Checks or money orders can be made out to Riverdale School or you can send cash. A receipt will be sent home with the student that day or the following day, depending on when I receive the payment. We have been learning EVERYTHING about apples this week in Mrs. Brooks' first grade class. Today we taste tested 3 varieties (Honeycrisp, Crimson Crisp and Golden Delicious) and sorted the seeds to take home. Tomorrow we will be tasting local apple cider and will be making apple pie in a cup on Friday.
Riverdale Cross Country had a strong showing at the Hardin County Meet, with the girls taking 1st place and the boys finishing 2nd.
Paige Vent led the girls with a 2nd-place finish, followed by Annalese Woodruff in 3rd and Gwen Bucher in 4th.
For the boys, Kolten Evans finished 2nd, Gio Noascono placed 4th, and Cohen Phillips finished 7th.
