After multiple rain delays, the Falcons battled through a hard-fought match and found the game-winning goal in the final four minutes. Cameron Snook buried the winner off an assist from Rodrigo Hernandez Sanchez to give Riverdale the victory over their conference rival.
Reydon Bishop came up big in goal, recording a two-save shutout to preserve the win! A great team effort and a clutch finish when it mattered most!

We want to take a moment to recognize Mrs. Jennifer Kubly for the positive attitude, effort, and teamwork she has shown throughout the MAP Growth testing process.
Mrs. Kubly has remained positive and flexible while working through the challenges and changes that come with testing. She has asked thoughtful questions, worked collaboratively to solve problems, and taken the initiative to watch training videos and find solutions on her own.
Her willingness to learn, problem-solve, and help make the process better for everyone has truly been appreciated!
To show our appreciation, Mrs. Kubly received a Certificate of Appreciation and one of her favorites — a Twix candy bar! 🍫🏆

Falcons improve to 7-5 on the year
We're excited to invite all grandparents and special friends to celebrate Grandparents Day with us on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. in the big gym!
Last Friday, Riverdale students and staff came together as a school community to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001.
As we marked the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we reflected on the courage and sacrifice of first responders, ordinary citizens, and all those whose lives were forever changed that day. It was also an opportunity to remind our students of the importance of courage, service, kindness, and unity.
A special thank you to Ainslee Deringer, Riverdale Student Council President, for sharing a meaningful remembrance message, and to Kelsie Brown for beautifully playing Taps to conclude our ceremony.
Thank you also to Miss Allison Rader and the Riverdale Band for performing the National Anthem, and to the entire Riverdale student body for the respect and thoughtfulness they demonstrated throughout the assembly.
We are proud of the way our students came together to remember, reflect, and honor those who were lost.
Our 7th grade Intro to Agriculture students got hands-on Friday as they learned how simple ingredients can be transformed into something fun! They combined cornstarch and conditioner to make their very own Play-Doh. 👐✨
There were plenty of smiles, creativity, and, of course… a little messy fun! 😄
We love seeing our students learning by doing, exploring new ideas, and having fun along the way! 🌱🐄🌽
Bristel Cramner and Marissa Bonham connected twice on the attack, with Cramner finding the back of the net both times. Meanwhile, Ryleigh Howard and the Riverdale defense stood strong, recording 10 saves to secure the hard-fought victory!
Next up: Riverdale opens league play Wednesday at home vs. Ada!
We had another great group of Riverdale Middle School students recognized this week for earning Positive Referrals from their teachers! 💙🦅
These students were noticed for making great choices, working hard, showing kindness, being responsible, and helping make Riverdale a positive place to learn and grow.
Each student received a Positive Referral certificate and got to choose a full-size candy bar or treat as a small way to celebrate their efforts! 🍫👏
Way to go, Falcons! We are proud of you and appreciate the positive example you are setting for others. Keep it up! 💙🤍🩶
There will be a MANDATORY student and parent meeting for any 8th graders wanting to go on the Washington DC trip on Tuesday, September 15 at 6:00pm in the cafeteria. Any student planning on going on the trip, you and a parent/guardian MUST be at the meeting. The tour company will be there to go over all trip specifics.

Riverdale Middle School was full of team spirit today! Our students and staff dressed up to support their favorite NFL teams by wearing jerseys, T-shirts, hoodies, and other team gear. 🙌
It was great seeing so many different teams represented and everyone having a little fun as we celebrate the start of the NFL season!
