Message From Riverdale Local Schools. Bus #11 will be running approximately 1 hour behind tonight on the afternoon route. If you would like to pick your child up at school instead of having them ride the bus, please call the school office and notify them. Again, this is for Bus #11 only. Addie's Army 12th Annual Taco Dinner and Silent Auction will be held Oct.18 (before the Riverdale vs. Crestline football game) from 5-7pm in the Riverdale Cafeteria. Tickets for dinner are $5 and include a taco salad, drink, and cookies.Tickets can be purchased in the Riverdale Office, Forest City Building, or from Brett or Alissa Farmer. There will be many silent auction items to bid on and a live auction at about 6pm for OSU/Wisconsin football tickets. The Farmer family has donated over $95,000 to diabetes research and education over the past 11 years and are hoping to make it to $100,000 this year. If you would like to help make this event a success and would like to donate an item for the silent auction, meat or cookies for the meal, or make a monetary donation, please contact Alissa Farmer at 419-306-9134.

In support of Andrew Kuenzli competing this week in the OHSAA State Golf Tournament, we are asking students and staff to wear Blue and White on Wednesday. Go Andrew!!!

Ball Metal Community Recycling Effort All community members may donate aluminum cans (only!) in the dumpster by the bus parking/central office. Donations may be made October 9 & 10 from 6:00 am - 9:00 pm. All donations must be bagged. Proceeds help support student scholarships.

Congratulations to the Quiz Bowl team for their performance at Tiffin Columbian. Riverdale finished in first place for small schools and 4th overall. As a result the team has received invitations to NAQT Small School Nationals in Chicago and NAQT Nationals in Atlanta.

Congratulations to Andrew Kuenzli. Andrew will be making his second appearance at the OHSAA State Golf tournament. He will be playing October 11th & 12th at the Ohio State University Scarlet Course. GO ANDREW!!!

In an effort to eliminate over spending on notifications, Riverdale has consolidated to one database for a call system and text system. We noticed the call came from Little Rock, Arkansas. We are looking into changing the caller ID tag for you. What does this mean for you? What are your options? 1. If you want a phone call for delays and cancellations, you will also get a text.  Conversely if you want a text, you will also get a call.   2. If you only got a text last year, we no longer have access to that database. If you want to receive text notifications and a phone call, please let us know by emailing Mr. DeMotte at jdemotte@rdfalcons.net .  3. You can download the Riverdale app in your app store and receive push notifications for Riverdale, this will include delays and cancellations.  If you are looking for just text notifications one option is to sign up with WFIN for their school delay/cancellation text. The 8th grade trip to Cooper Tire & other Findlay manufacturing facilities scheduled for today is still on.

Riverdale is on a two hour delay for Thursday, October 3rd.

Congratulations to the Junior Class who (along with some help from underclassmen) won the Powder Puff Championship last night!!!!!

Riverdale will kickoff Homecoming Week tomorrow with the Powder Puff games. Doors open at 6:30 pm with the first game starting at 7:00 pm. $2.00 a person or $5.00 for the entire family. Should be a lot of fun!!!
