Congratulations to the HS Quiz Bowl team for finishing Runner-up in the Hancock League this year. Wins over Vanlue, Arlington, VB, and CR on Wednesday night left them 6-1 overall in league play. Upcoming dates are 12/9 NCOESC League Tournament and Hancock Co Tournament 1/11.

Attention all 8th graders and chaperones going to Washington DC: Your next payment of $175 is due by Fri., Dec. 9. You may pay with cash/checks/money orders made out to Riverdale School. Please make your payments to Mrs. Wehrle before or after school, or in between classes!


The elementary newsletter has been sent out via email. Please update your email through FinalForms in order to access it. Also, our fundraiser items arrive tomorrow! Small orders will be sent home with students. All other orders can be picked up tomorrow evening, Thurs. Dec. 1 from 6-7pm or on Fri. Dec. 2 from 9am-2pm. Academic Boosters would like to invite you to help kick off our Christmas food drive on Thursday, Dec. 1. With a donation a food item listed below, you will receive a free popcorn or water at the concession stand at the Girls Basketball game against McComb. All food items collected will be donated to our very own Riverdale Food Pantry. Thank you for your support!
Needed food items include: boxed pasta, bags of egg noodles, beef stew (Dinty Moore style), canned fruit & vegetables, plastic jars of applesauce, boxes of cereal & Poptarts, and canned chicken and spaghetti sauce.

REMINDER: Today is a regularly scheduled school day. Elementary students will be dismissed at 2:55pm and MS/HS at 3pm. We hope you and your families have a wonderful Thanksgiving Break.


Our food service team had an extra turkey in the kitchen today. It was a great time serving our students and staff their thanksgiving lunch, Happy Thanksgiving everyone, Gobble, Gobble!


Ms. Lifer's Biology classes learned about macromolecules using a murder mystery lab. Students got to see how proteins, lipids, simple carbohydrates, and complex carbohydrates can each be tested for in a sample.

Congrats to the HS Quiz Bowl team for finishing their NCOESC league on a high note. They had one loss to Carey with the game coming down to the last question. The team won 325-60 over Seneca East and 255-225 over Shelby. They will next compete on Nov. 30th at Arcadia.

Mrs. Combs third grade class completing the phonics challenge today, it was awesome and they are amazing. Very impressive Falcons.
